Dr. Alyse Danis, ED.D, MFT
Individual & Couples Therapy Specialist
Dr. Alyse Danis has been in private practice for 22 years, specializing in relationship counseling with adolescents, adults and older adults. Her experience includes teaching in the Counseling Psychology Department at the University of San Francisco (USF) for 10 years as well as serving as the Associate Director of the USF Center for Child and Family Development. She has mentored and supervised many interns on their way to licensure. Coming from a first career in public education as a teacher, resource specialist for the Gifted and Talented Program, and over a decade as a school principal, she works with clients to help them realize better ways to achieve their life goals.
Alyse Danis, LMFT, ED.D received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She returned to receive her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 1994.
Dr. Danis has completed additional training and certifications, including the following: Gottman Relationship Institute, EMDR and in-depth work with trainings from the Bowen Center in Washington, D.C. This work has prepared her to deepen her understanding of the various development stages of human experience.
